Tesla, Mercedes, BMW, Toyota, Porsche and Mazda are just a few names that have begun to perfect electric and Hybrid technology. Advancements in their various technologies have lessened trips to fuel stations and in some instances eliminated these trips completely. Trinidad and Tobago is more steadfast in fuel systems for vehicles, but, has been switching gears cautiously to a Hybrid culture.

Plug in Hybrids, is Trinidad and Tobago ready?!
A plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) is a hybrid electric vehicle whose battery can be recharged by plugging it in to an external source of electric power as well by its on-board engine and generator. For the most part Plug in Hybrids can be charged at specialised 120-240 volt, home outlets, but, if power runs out away from home, what happens? Other countries have charging stations outfitted at many gas stations. Do you think Trinidad and Tobago would ever be infrastructurally ready to effectively handle Plug in Hybrid vehicles?

I think we have to get our established infrastructure systems in order...then we may be able to embark on this initiative
ReplyDeleteI agree with Kiki, definitely. Lots needs to be put in place first
ReplyDeleteIf we do not get started we will never get ready. With all the tax breaks we will be forced to introduce the necessary infrastructure.
